“Let go of who you think you're supposed to be and embrace who you are.”
— Brene Brown
The teen years can be a time of excitement, discovery, and growth—but they can also feel overwhelming. Between academic pressures, social dynamics, family expectations, the influence of social media, and the journey of self-identity, it can feel like there’s a constant push and pull between what teens want to do and what they feel they should or have to do.
When I work with teens, I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where they feel seen, heard, and accepted just as they are. My approach meets them exactly where they’re at, while also equipping them with practical tools they can use outside of session. I believe in supporting teens while respecting their autonomy, and I also value collaboration and regular check-ins with parents or caregivers to ensure we’re building a solid support system together.
Therapy can help teens:
Express themselves more clearly and confidently
Navigate life changes and everyday stress
Build emotional awareness and regulation skills
Improve relationships with family and peers
Cultivate self-confidence, self-compassion, and resilience
Adolescence is a time of transition—but it doesn’t have to be navigated alone. I’m here to support your teen in discovering who they are and becoming who they’re meant to be.
